Our horses

In the Brandnertal you ride our own horses — each has its own name, its own character and its own pace. Whether you sit in the saddle for the first time or have ridden for years: we choose the horse that suits you.

You have never, or only a few times, sat on a horse. We lead you or work you on the lunge, and you learn to sit and to walk. Up to about 30 riding lessons you are in the right place here — even when it long feels like more.

  • Bring sturdy, ankle-high shoes with a heel and long trousers, ideally riding breeches; jeans are fine too. Please no hiking boots. You get a helmet from us, free of charge.
  • Before riding you (or a parent) sign a short liability waiver — riding remains a sport with some risk.
  • Our riding team will assess you again on the spot.

What you should know

  • Bring sturdy, ankle-high shoes with a heel and long trousers, ideally riding breeches; jeans are fine too. Please no hiking boots. You get a helmet from us, free of charge.
  • Before riding you (or a parent) sign a short liability waiver — riding remains a sport with some risk.
  • Every offering states its minimum age — the stables decide on the day whether it suits your child.
  • Rider plus saddle should weigh at most 15 % of the horse's weight — the stables assign a suitable horse for this too.

Take the train to Bludenz. From the station, bus line 580 takes about 28 minutes to Brand. Get off at the stop “Brand Hotel Walliserhof” – from there it is 48 m to us.

By car

Take the A14 motorway to the Brandnertal exit (coming from Bregenz) or Bludenz-Bürs (coming from the Arlberg). From there it is about 15 minutes up the valley to Brand.
